Biography

TGS is a California and Nevada drayage company serving the ports of LA, Long Beach and Oakland.  TGS runs upwards of 150 power units, both company trucks (TGS Transportation) and independent contractors (TGS Logistics).  With offices in Fresno, CA (corporate), Carson, CA and Reno, NV.  TGS is strategically located to serve the ports of LA/LB and Oakland for all of central and northern California as well as northern Nevada.  TGS also handles domestic rail out of all northern California and Nevada rail ramps.  TGS hauls dry and reefer cargo as well as hazmat and bonded shipments.  TGS is also a more balanced drayage provider hauling both import and export.

TGS is a strong ag export and import trucker hauling upwards of 10,000 loads per year of almonds and pistachios, 4,000 loads of powdered milk and hundreds of loads hauling other ag commodities like raisins.  We also haul ag necessities such as drip irrigation and field chemicals.

As president, Mr. Schneider is responsible for the overall well-being of “Team TGS” which encompasses its customers, drivers, employees, contractors, vendor partners and association ties. Mr. Schneider has worked at TGS since graduating from college, and has held many positions in almost 30 years from accounting, sales, operations, management and upper management.  Growing up in the business with his father, Mr. Schneider has a unique perspective and appreciation for every position within the supply chain from driving a truck or forklift to owning and running a business.  Mr. Schneider and TGS are active partners with the AgTC, CTA, FMC, HTA, IANA, and various other local, regional state and federal organizations.

Mr. Schneider’s affiliations and association duties include:

  • Chairman of the CTA’s Northern California Intermodal Conference and on the board;
  • Secretary on the Executive Board at the HTA;
  • On the Board of Advisors for the AgTC;
  • IANA – IIEC Committee member;
  • Port Efficiency Task Force and Seaport Stakeholder Roundtable with the Port of Oakland;
  • Part of FMC Supply Chain Innovation teams chaired by Commissioner Rebecca Dye in 2016, 2019, 2020 and it looks like another round for 2022.

Mr. Schneider has a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.  He shares this earth with his beautiful wife Brooke and four fantastic children.
