Francis Pacheco is vice president, membership and public affairs for the Western Area of Dairy Farmers of America, where he has worked for the past 18 years. He is primarily responsible for managing members, field staff and industry issues in California and Nevada.
Francis has a lifetime of experience in the dairy industry. He was raised on a family operated dairy in New England. He was the first California Dairy Campaign general manager, a pacific regional director for a national collective bargaining organization, National Farmers Organization before joining Dairy Farmers of America as an area manager. His career has been focused on serving dairy farmers on a variety of issues including animal nutrition, dairy farm expansion, financial services and herd health. He has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science from Texas Tech University.
